Calvin and Hobbes

Sazae-san
In Calvin and Hobbes Comics, the author , makes his star character a young boy, Calvin, who’s only friend is a stuffed tiger named Hobbes. In Calvin’s imagination he thinks that Hobbes is real. So in most of their comics they show them having field trips, adventures, clubs, or just talking together as they ride down the hill in a sled. Though, of course, no one else can see that Hobbes is real. So when Calvin walks in the door and Hobbes jumps on him getting him all dirty, his Mom gets all mad at him. When Calvin tries to explain, the parents never believe him.

カルビンとホッブスのまんがでは、ホッブスというぬいぐるみのとらが、カルビンには、ほんとうのとらになります。いっしょに、えんそくにいったり、ぼうけんをしたり、そりにのっておしゃべりをしたり、します。ほかの人には、ホッブスはぬいぐるみなので、カルビンのはなしを、だれも しんじません。
In the Calvin and Hobbes comic above, Calvin had stolen from Suzy (his next door neighbor) a stuffed animal, and was having a ton of fun doing it too. Then he finds out that Suzy stole Hobbes. To him, he thinks girls are stupid and that they can't take a joke. It was all funny till she did the same thing. This is really funny to people who get it, but if they don't it's kind of confusing.
このまんがでは、スージｰのぬいぐるみをぬすんで、よろこんでいた、カルビンが しかえしに、じぶんのぬいぐるみをぬすまれて、おこるというはなしです。ちょっとわかりにくいはなしです。
Meanwhile, in Sazae-san, a Japanese comic, it's really different. Sazae-san comics include a regular family with funny things happening to them. They always happen to get in the worst situations but its tons of fun to laugh at. Sazae-san is a well liked Family comic. Compared to the traits of Calvin and Hobbes though, it's really different.
さざえさんは、ふつうのかぞくのはなしです。いろいろなことが、おこります。いちばんこまることがおこりますが、とても、おかしいです。さざえさんは、みんなにすかれています。カルビンとボッブスと、さざえさんのはなしは、とても ちがいます。
In the Sazae-san comic above, Sazae and her father are working on the roof. Then the mother comes out and tells her tea is ready. Sazae takes down the ladder and rushes in to eat. Later they realize they left the father on top of the roof. Sazae runs back outside, says sorry, and brings the ladder for him to climb down. It's all very funny!
さざえさんは、おとうさんと、やねのうえで、いっしょにしごとをしていました。そして、おかあさんが、おちゃですよ とよびにきたので、ひとりで、はしごをもって おちゃをのみにかえります。あとで、びっくりして、おとうさんを むかえにいくはなしです。
So, as you can see, Calvin and Hobbes comics compared to Sazae-san Comics are a lot different! Calvin is mean little boy who has big imagination and big bad ideas. Sazae-san is a girl with a funny family who gets into funny situations.
カルビンはいろいろなわるいことをかんがえる ちょっといじわるな おとこのこです。さざえさんは おかしなかぞくと、いろいろなおもしろい、はなしになります。
So anyway have fun reading either one, they're both great comics.
