BAMBOO

Bamboo is a plant. It is used for instruments, bridges, fences, fans, and brooms. It is also used for Tea Houses and the leaves are used for a decoration on sushi plates. Bamboo grows fast. If you make Shakuhachi flutes, plates, baskets, and screens with bamboo they are light and extremely strong. I like bamboo, it is neat. The tallest type of bamboo which the Japanese call Take, blooms rarely, only once every 10 to 14 years. Bamboo bends easily, but it does not break. When the snow falls, the bamboo bends down but it does not break. When the snow melts, the bamboo comes up without breaking. The Japanese people admire bamboo. The Japanese put bamboo on the kimono. It means the person is strong.
