Mt.Fuji has erupted eighteen times.The last time Mt.Fuji erupted was 1707. After the eruption, Tokyo was covered with 15 centimeters of ash. Mt. Fuji is open only during July and August and 300,000 people climb Mt.Fuji in a year. Mt.Fuji is sometimes higher than the clouds. Almost every climber goes to the fifth station. If it is a clear day you can see Mt.Fuji from 93 miles away.There is only one Fujiyama. It is known as Mt.Fuji to American people. Mountain in Japanese is yama.
