Fans

Fans are to cool yourself off. They come in all different shapes and sized differently. Men and women use fans. Some fans are used for special things like in a dance, for decoration and lots of other things. The folding fan in Japan are called ogi. Fans have all different pictures on them. In Japan the early fans were stiff and flat. Maiogi fans are used for a dance. There is a war fan called gunsen. The gunsen has nine ribes made of iron. On one side of the gunsen it has a red sun on a gold background. A fan has a holder too. The holder is like a tube but on one side it is connected. Some fans fold and some fans do not fold.
