Getta are wood shoes that were worn with yukatas. Getta are used to walk through muddy roads and sidewalks. Getta are worn by princesses. Getta are high-heeled shoes that people wear with tabi. You don’t see too many people wearing getta so much anymore. Getta are usually decorated with black paint. They use red thick velvet thread.
Yukata
A yukata is a white cotton Summer Kimono. They were decorated with indigo dye. The official name is Yukatabira. The yukata was worn at temples and shrines. Yukatas are sometimes worn after baths. Sometimes you will receive a yukata at hotels and inns. People wear yukata to festivals and birthdays.
