Hashi means chopstick and Hashi Oki means chopstick holders. Some Hashi are made of wood or plastic. You can use hashi to rest on the hashi oki. Hashi oki are made of clay. You can make hashi oki with different shapes like leaf, a flower, a cat and a fish. You can use hashi to eat rice. In Japanese restaurants you only use hashi. Not all Japanese restaurants have hashi oki. Some Japanese children knew how to use hashi when they were young. Some people drink soup and some people scoop the food in the soup to their mouth. There is a big chopstick called Saibashi. Saibashi are made of bamboo. Maybe a chopstick is as thick as a pencil. Chopstick are held in one hand and you use them by moving the bottom stick.
