The word Samurai means the one who serves. A Samurai warrior wore a kimono under his armor. They trained by shooting dogs. One day 150 dogs were shot by 36 men with bows. Samurai women had a knife tucked in their belt. At war, Samurai ate two meals a day. Samurai ate mostly rice. If a Samurai ran away in battle, he would commit Hari Kiri. It is a suicide. Most of the Samurai lived in Tokyo. A Samurai's helmet is made to scare an enemy. A Samurai's helmet is made of iron. It takes a long time to put on a Samurai's armor. The Samurai would rather fight to the death than surrender.
