This is Paiza, her mother, and her father. We are helping her with her
scholarship. Below are two letters which she wrote to us.
A letter received in 2006
How are you?
Sorry if I hadn't written to you for quite awhile... I've been a bit busy
already even if the year had just started... My holiday vacation ended last Jan.
4, meaning to say back to school work.... It also means that, study, study and
more study...
I hope everything is fine with you... Everything is well here at school and at
home... The only problem that I am problemizing as of the moment is, I have to
prepare a dance for our upcoming Physical Education Day... It's a day for all
students taking up physical education to show their talents in each field, may
it be through dancing or sports as well... I am a part of the dance contest
(ehem!) as usuall....
I'll write to you 'till next time with all my latest happenings... take care

In a letter we received in 2004
TO THE PRO MEMBERS,
I graduated from a catholic school during
my high school years, Catholic School which is run by nuns. I
graduated with rank as WITH HIGH HONORS. I really made lots of friends during
my stay there. But unfortunately, the day came that we were graduating and we
were very sad that we will be a part from each other for quite so long now.
Actually, I am kind a bit ashame to say this, but we kinda made a group with my
friends and we name it as "weirdos". We are five in the group: me, Sarinah
(which is my cousin), Lace, April Joy and Jovelyn. We were very close with one
another even secrets were told by everyone. Now we kinda meet only once a month
I think because of school and stuff. But we still kinda do the things we used
to do everytime we meet and all.
Now I am studying at a University, also a catholic
school but the difference is, it is run by priests. The school is an hour and a
half travel away from home. I am taking up Accountancy, a five year course. I
am already a first year student in my second semester. Well, I cannot attend
school this semester if there hadn't came a help. I am really thankful that I
had found friends which are very willing to help people who needs it most. We
were not suppose to be in a financial crisis if we are not studying college
together with my sister. She is taking up Nursing by the way, and as we all
know how expensive that course is. My mom is burried with so many loans just to
send as to school and for additional info my father is very sickly as well and
sometimes confine to the hospital, he is also taking up so many medicines to
keep him in good shape. That is also an additional expense at home. So we are
really not in the plentiful condition right now!

Classes had already started last Nov. 3 and because I enrolled late i don't have
classmates anymore from my first sem classmates. Meaning to say this is a new
challenge for me again to meet new batch of people and befriend them.. Well, I
have to use my ability to make friends once again, but trully I will meet new
friends I can coupe with and accepts me for who I am.
All I can say for now is that, THANK YOU a million times for extending your help
to me. I really am very greatful that you are all there to help. Thank you
once again and I will write soon.....
