Category Instructions: 4‑6 minutes. Memorized piece. Memorized introduction giving title is required and can include mention of the age group for which the story is suited.

Story can be for any age group. No visual aids.

Judges:      If all criteria are checked student must be recommended. 

                   No student can be recommended unless all criteria are checked.

___ 2. Poise, gesture and movement is appropriate to the material

___ 3. Voice is clear and expressive

___ 4. Storyteller uses imaginative insight into the mood and meaning of the story

___ 5. Storyteller captivates audience

___ 6. Well memorized

___ 7. Good pace and sense of timing

___ 8. Is within the 4‑6 minute limit (give or take 30 seconds)
