GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS
Four years (eight semesters) of High School attendance and 22 credits are required for an ASIJ diploma. Typically, ½ credit is awarded for a  semester-long course.

Social Studies                                                                                      
ASIJ students must take the required Social Studies classes in grades 9, 10 and 11. 
U.S. History is a graduation requirement for all students and is normally taken in grade 11.

Science                                                                                  
One credit of physical science and one credit of life science are required.

Modern Languages                                                              
Two levels of the same language in grades 9-12 are required.

Physical Education                                                                
Physical Education is required in grade 9 (2 semesters) and grade 10 (1 semester).

Study of Japan                                                                                  
Students must complete one semester of the study of Japan.  Courses which fulfill this requirement are Japan Studies, Japan Seminar, Japanese Literature in Translation, and Japanese Language.
