Washi, Suzuri, Sumie and Mt. Fuji

Yamanashi Prefecture

The students who went on this trip learned how to make traditional Japanese paper. They also learned how to carve Amabata suzuri (inkstone)and work with brush and ink drawing (Sumie). After a day of sightseeing and art, they spent their nights in a historically famous hot spring known as Shimobe Onsen. This trip specialized in art and sightseeing.
