Mountain Bikes and Snowshoes

 ASIJ's Canoeing and Mountain Biking 2002 JUMP trip had many last minute changes due to significant snowfall in Hakuba. What was to be canoeing and going to the Ninja Village soon became snowshoeing. Students arrived at Nagano station to be picked up by an outdoor guide. They were driven up to a small village to eat soba for lunch. After lunch, they were driven to a spot where they went on a snowshoe hike. Snowballs were flying everywhere and everyone had a great time. For dinner that night, students got to try the famous Japanese nabei. The next day they went mountain biking and get to go to a relaxing onsen afterwards. They returned to Tokyo at night.
