Chichibu Minshuku and Crafts, too
Chichibu is known for its beautiful hiking trails, picturesque farms and orchards. We were met at the train by the owners of a traditional minshuku where we spent the night. Upon arrival at the minshuku we were taught how to make soba. We then made some and had it for lunch. After lunch we split up into different groups for various activities. We made decorative glass beads or dye T-shirts with traditional blue dye. We then enjoyed a traditional Japanese meal. After breakfast the next morning we learned to do decorative sandblasting then hiked the picturesque trails of Chichibu, arriving back at the station in the afternoon.
