Help & Hike

    The Help & Hike JUMP trip at The American School in Japan included Kirigaoka School for the Physically Challenged. After we met the faculty and observed some classes, we joined the Kirigaoka students in a variety of educational activities. Instructions at Kirigaoke were in English, which made it easier to converse and interact in a meaningful way. The second day we hiked a trail in the Takao area (west of Tokyo). The trail had steep uphill and downhill portions with an actual hiking time of 4-5 hours.
