Ultimate Snorkeling Experience

   This JUMP trip at The American School in Japan began with a short plane flight to the island of Amami Oshima in Kagoshima Prefecture. Students had opportunities to snorkel near the table coral and see an abundance of colorful tropical fish. One day included a visit to an Oshima pongee factory (hand woven silk fabric) and a student led barbeque. We hiked to the beautiful Materia Falls through lush vegetation and rest on Amami's whit sandy beaches.
