Ray Fielding is the author of six books and monographs, was a Pulitzer Prize nominee, and has worked on several films. Among his many honors, he is a lifetime member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. Ray retired in June 2003, after thirteen years of service as founding permanent dean of the Florida State University Film School. He lives in Tallahassee, FL.
