| The Process
Picture source: www.muskoka-tours.com/ about.htm The process will involve three phases Phase A : Individual basic facts research on Africa You will research basic facts on an African country of your choice. This research will happen in the library and with the Web Quest Resource Page. You will take notes using word and inspiration. Your product for this part of your research will be two page report highlighting the key facts of an African Country Please read the rubric carefully before writing this report click on links to see them You will have research sessions in the library and or internet to complete this task. Phase B : Team work You and your group need to choose one country to create a PowerPoint together. You can pick a country one of you used for the above research paper, or pick a new one. You will be given class and library time to research websites for information about the questions below. You will make your notes in Inspiration. You will then have two periods two turn this information from inspiration into a PowerPoint presentation. You will be part of a team of four or five members that will present a joint PowerPoint to the Organization of African Unity. Your team will have the below roles (you as a team decide who will do what, some teams might have two people working on one role) 1. Historian : The historian will research and report on the historical aspects of your groups country Use these resources below, or the Middle School Library or the Web Quest Resource page to find your answers and information Name and describe

. 2. Anthropologist The anthropologist will report on the rich cultural
traditions of you country What are the prominent tribes in your
country, and give a brief description on each tribe? 3. Theologian The theologian will report on the rich variety of religions found in your country. Use these resource below , or the Middle School Library or the Web Quest Resource page to find your answers and information Briefly present the main religions of
your country. Describe each main religion with
basic facts. 4. Economist The economist will research and report on the wealth to be found in your country in Africa Use these resource below , or the Middle School Library or the Web Quest Resource page to find your answers and information
Facts and
Figures by Country What are the main industries in your country? What are the main agricultural products produced in your country? What are the main natural resources found in your country? How does the GDP of you country compare to your home country? Comment on your results. Each team member will produce a minimum of one and a maximum of two PowerPoint slides presenting the results of his / her research. There will be two sessions to complete this research. Phase C : Making the team Power Point Once each team member has finished the team will get together and decide on a common lay-out for their presentation.
