Leaving Friends (part one)

Mom

I don't know how to break it to her.

Dad

She'll make new friends easily.

Mom

I hope you're right dear.(door slam, Danielle enters)

Danielle (enters)

Guess what?! Guess what! Alicia and I both made cheerleading for spring sports!

Mom

Uh uh well that's nice but can we talk for a minute?

Danielle

Uh sure ... What's going on?

Dad

Well your mother has something to tell you.

Mom

I- I think your father should explain.

Dad

My business manager has transferred me to-

Mom

Honey, we'll be leaving in March back to the states. It will be a fun adventure.

Danielle (confused and angry)

What?! Fun? Adventure? I don't want to leave. All my friends are here. It's not fair. You always make the decisions. Stop trying to control my life.

Parents

Honey, calm down. Let's talk about this.

Danielle

No, you ruined my life once, I'm not going to let you do it again. I hate you both. I'm not moving. I'd rather jump off of Tokyo Tower.

Dad

Honey, that's enough! It's just as hard on us as it is on you. We all have to go through some difficult changes.

Danielle

Well, not me. (storms out)
