Narrator: She Doesn't Belong

Tamara (pointing at Invisible Student): There she is again? Doesn't she know she doesn't belong? She's not one of us.
Mariko: She's not a part of any group.
Margaret: Who'd have her?
Yuko: Who is she?
Narrator: I don't know, but when Principal Peters was calling off the raffle this morning there were a bunch of names I hadn't even heard of before.
Tamara: Like six graders.
Narrator: Not just sixth graders
Magaret: Maybe she's new.
Narrator: I don't remember her from last year.
Tamara: She doesn't have any friends.
Yuko: I wonder why.
Narrator: It's like she just appeared out of no where.
Tamara: As far as I'm concerned she can go back to nowhere. Before she showed up everything was just fine around here. Now everything is so- so-
Narrator: Weird.
Tamara: Yeah, and everybody's so touchy or something.
Mariko: Go ask her name.
Yuko: No way, you go.
Tamara: No, someone might think I know her. I'd be humiliated.
Narrator (to audience): Ask any teenager and she'll tell you that the worst fear, the very worst, is fear of embarrassment.
