There just didn't seem to be any great scripts for students so we thought we'd write some, foolish as we were. We developed dramatic, musical, and film pieces. Some were by students, some by Chris and me, all were great fun for the audience and actors. Scripts and rights can be purchased for all scripts.
Reflections on a
Likeness of Me
is a full length movie made in 1998. It is based on
classic themes of love and confusion at set in Tokyo. Includes streaming video,
photos, and the original script. This would also work well on stage.
A Midsummer Night's Dream
is our adaptation; leaving the Bard's words, but a bit of a trim.
PDF of script can be ordered at bhuber@asij.ac.jp
Dream Stealers
an unusual rock musical of the mysteries of dreams. Very cool.
Robin, the Legend Before the Legend Began
the story of Robin Hood and Marian as teens. Lots of comedy but a message of
growth for all ages.
Invisible Flame
created by middle school students for middle school students and about middle school students.
Piece was create using techniques from ISTA, International School Theater
Association
