Emily de León

Emily de Leon joined ASIJ in 2022. Her career in education started with work in residential facilities for adolescents with significant emotional and behavioral challenges. She then moved into teaching in a charter school in Brooklyn as a Learning Support Coordinator. After five years of teaching, Emily went to law school and subsequently worked in the criminal justice system for about eight years primarily as a criminal defense attorney.
