Dane
Dane Robinson serves as the Director of Co-Curricular Learning at The American School in Japan (ASIJ), bringing a extensive background in elite athletics, athlete development, and holistic co-curricular education. A former professional triathlete who competed internationally at the World Championship level, he worked with the Australian Institute of Sport before serving as the Dean of Activities at Somerset College on Australia’s Gold Coast. Driven by a belief in student-centered leadership, Dane focuses on building inclusive K–12 pathways across athletics, performing arts, outdoor education, and student activities that balance performance excellence with wellbeing, agency, and a strong sense of belonging. He relocated to Tokyo alongside his wife, Emily, and their three children—Elle, Arlo, and Sonny.
