Frequently Asked Questions
Q. What different types of fund raising does ASIJ have?
ASIJ has had an Annual Fund for over 30 years and this is the principal source of donations from individuals. In addition to gifts to the unrestricted Annual Fund, we also run special campaigns and thematic giving to support specific enhancements. We also have the Gate Society that recognizes individuals who include ASIJ in their estate plans or establish a special gift or endowment.
Q. What are Gift Clubs?
ASIJ's Gift Club program recognizes the outstanding and vital support of its most generous contributors and donors who have given consecutively for 10, 20 or 30-plus years (see right-hand column for details).
Q. Who does ASIJ ask for support?
We ask everyone in our community to help. Corporations, current parents, alumni, alumni parents, current and former faculty and staff and friends. ASIJ needs and wants everyone in its community to be a supporter of the school.
Q. What does ASIJ do with my donation?
Fundamentally, your donations enable us to better deliver on our mission, vision and values by enabling ASIJ to enhance the learning environment and our educational programs. Details on how gifts enhance the school, fundraising updates and information on specific campaigns can be found in the fundraising section of The Ambassador magazine.
Q. Am I recognized for my gift?
Yes. Every fall we publish the names of individuals and corporations who have supported ASIJ during the previous school year. Gifts eligible for naming recognition and major gifts will be recognized through other means.
Q. Do I have to give a lot of money?
Gifts of any size make a difference and are very much appreciated. Participation is as important as the amount you give.

Dollar gifts made through Give2Asia and designated to ASIJ are tax-deductible in the United States. For more information on tax deductibility, please contact the Advancement Office at email@example.com.
