Corporate Partners in Education

ASIJ is one of the oldest and most respected educational institutions in Japan, with 1,700 students (from 3–18 years old) representing over 50 countries. The parents of these students are successful entrepreneurs, multinational corporate decision makers, and diplomats. At least a quarter of the families are long-term residents of Japan; alumni often return to work and live in Japan after attending prestigious universities in North America, and in turn send their own children to ASIJ.

Keeping the finest education competitively priced

High school graduates marching down campus

As a non-profit school that endeavors to keep its tuition rates competitive while continually enhancing its programs, the financial support of all community members, including corporations, is vital to the school’s continued reputation for excellence. By becoming a Corporate Partner in Education, you can ensure ASIJ’s continued financial stability.

Being a part of the international community

The American School in Japan has been a part of the international business community for well over 100 years. For the parents and graduates of ASIJ, the school community is a crossroads of everything that is supportive of globally-minded people and companies. Many companies feel it is important to express their support of one of the pillars of the international community in Japan.

Helping to attract the best talent

In addition to helping ASIJ to provide the best education at a competitive price, many companies choose to support the school because an excellent American school is key to attracting the highest level expat talent; perhaps the biggest concern for any family considering an international move is whether their children’s studies will be affected. Knowing that their children’s education will, in fact, be positively affected not only allays that concern, but provides another reason to move to Tokyo.

Corporate donations making a difference now and in the future

Donations from our Corporate Partners in Education (CPE) are invested in the school’s Endowment in order to support (in perpetuity) the school’s Grants and Speakers program. An Endowment is structured in such a way as to retain the capital investment while only the interest-income is used, so corporate donations are helping to educate the children today and in the future.

For over a century, the world’s leading companies have chosen to support outstanding education at ASIJ.
